How to choose the right load center
Start with the number of circuits. Count the circuits the building needs today, then leave spare ways for later additions, so the board does not have to be replaced when a load is added.
Next, look at where it will be installed. Indoor locations need a lower protection rating than outdoor or wet areas, where a higher IP rating keeps dust and water out.
Finally, pick the layout. Row layouts suit most homes and shops. Fishbone layouts place breakers on both sides of the busbar and save height in larger boards. If you are unsure, send us the load schedule and our engineers will recommend a size.
